Biomass Boiler Systems
Fossil fuel costs are at an all time high, without any relief in sight, making renewable energy the fuel source of the future. Imagine being in control of your energy costs and not having to rely on a fuel source that is seemingly out of control and uncertain... HURST Biomass Boiler Systems will strengthen your bottom line by reducing, or even eliminating your energy and disposal costs altogether, through the gasification and combustion of renewable fuel sources, also known as Biomass.
Scotch Marine
Our two-pass, three-pass or four-pass Scotch Marine(Fire Tube) boilers are available in dryback, wetback, steam or hot water versions; from 15 to 800 hp with pressures to 300 psig. Hurst Scotch Marine boilers are rated to 81% minimum efficiency. They are designed with davited rear doors for minimum maintenance and rugged construction for extra-long life. UL listed boiler/burner packages for firing gas, oil or a combination of both. They are factory tested and checked for optimum operating efficiency.
Tubeless Vertical
Our cyclone tubeless vertical hot water boilers provide exceptionally high efficiencies, lower fuel costs, and extremely rugged construction. The compact, space saving vertical four-pass shock-proof design has no tubes to loosen or burn out. The Hurst Vertical Tubeless Boiler allows convenient access to "eye high" burner and solid-state controls for trouble free operation. Factory assembled and fully automatic. UL and ASME CSD-1 approved. Simple and inexpensive to install.
Firebox
The Hurst Firebox is competitively priced, efficient and flexible three-pass boiler design allowing fuel flexibility for gas, oil, heavy oil, and combination gas/oil. The firebox boiler is ASME code constructed & stamped with the thickest boiler steel in the industry for 15 psi steam/30 water and registered with the National Board of Boiler Inspectors. The boiler includes unified refractory base floor, steel skids and lifting eyes.
Solid Fuel Fired Boilers
Fossil fuel costs are at an all time high without any relief in sight, making renewable energy the fuel source of the future. HURST Biomass Boiler Systems will strengthen your bottom line by reducing, or even eliminating your energy and disposal costs altogether, through the combustion of renewable fuel sources, also known as Biomass.
Blowdown Separators
The Hurst Boiler Company (HBC) Blowdown Separator is designed to take water from the boiler during blowdown and reduce it to atmospheric pressure for disposal. The HBC Separator accomplishes this by separating the subsequent flashed steam from the hot water. As the blowdown enters the vessel, it is forced into a centrifugal pattern by means of a striking plate. The steam is vented to the atmosphere through a top connection. The HBC Blowdown Separator provides an economical means of safe boiler blowdown.
Feed Water Systems
The Hurst Feedmiser Automatic Return System provides storage for water make-up and return condensate from the system loop. When equipped with optional trim, the Feedmiser provides a quality, heavy duty packaged unit fully assembled and ready to install. The Hurst "Oxy-Miser" deaerating boiler feed water system eliminates the need of expensive oxygen scavenger chemicals. Guaranteed to remove oxygen in boiler feed water to .005cc/liter.
LOW NOx
Boiler and Burner Technology Engineering for a Cleaner Environment. Hurst developed its first low emission (Low NOx) boiler in 1992, and has been incorporating new technologies to improve upon green boilers ever since. Our boilers can burn any liquid or gaseous fuel; and come in sizes from 100 to 2,500 horsepower with pressures to 450psi. Hurst boilers are designed and engineered with larger furnaces, providing for inherently lower NOx emissions. To produce lower emissions, our boilers employ technologies such as; gas and air pre-mix, flue gas recirculation, and thermal reduction. We have also developed new control systems that utilize microprocessor-based fuel/air ratios offering superior combustion.
Hybrid HD Series
Hurst Boiler produces hybrid or conventional; wood fired steam and hot water boilers for commercial and industrial applications. Our wet or dry fuel boiler configurations can utilize a wide range of liquid, gas or solid fuels such as; wood, agricultural backup, oil, bark, chipped mill waste, coal, construction debris, hulls, hog fuel, manure, paper, rubber, sawdust, shavings and sludge. Boiler sizes range from 100 to 2,500 horsepower with pressures to 450 psi.
